Powerful Mantras to Help Motivate You

Here are some powerful mantras and quotes to inspire you to get in shape and get more out of life. I list some of my favourites below.

I've heard of mantras for years, but never used them much. However, Danica Patrick, the professional race car driver, made a real case for them in her book "Pretty Intense: The 90-Day Mind, Body and Food Plan that will absolutely Change Your Life". Since reading her book, I've started collecting some that really resonate with me.

Mantras are phrases that inspire you. You can read mantras just once and they can inspire you. Another thing you can do is say them repeatedly over and over. Shorter mantras lend themselves to this more easily than longer quotes. By saying these powerful mantras repeatedly they can help you to replace your negative self-talk with a more positive dialogue.

Oftentimes we know that we shouldn't be saying the negative things that we say to ourselves, but we don't know what to say to take the place of those negative words. By saying the same mantra over and over, we can help improve our self-talk.

Did you know the average person has about one thought per second? That's about 57,600 thoughts on average in the waking hours (16 hours) of the day. Did you know that about 70-80% of those thoughts are negative? That's 43,200 (based on a 75% average) negative thoughts per day. Also, 90-98% of those thoughts are repetitive, or the same thoughts you had the day before.

Why not take some of those negative thoughts and use some powerful mantras to replace them?

Your mind is a powerful weapon. Soldiers and people in extreme situations know that it can often be the thing that determines whether you live or die, not how physically fit you are. Mantras are also often used by elite athletes.
